CRLI has a volunteer work for the over 18 and interested in nature conservation and in particular the Iberian wolf.
ACTIVITIES
This program allows: participation in the daily activities of the Center, which include support at animal feed, check for water fountains, the maintenance of infrastructure, fire prevention, cleaning of the area and surrounded the CRLI, observation of wolves to check their health condition, support for reception and monitoring of visitors and support the administrative work.
DURATION OF PROGRAM
The program is open throughout the year and volunteers can participate for a period of their choise. During the weekend volunteers are not acceptable, and they should mark the day of the arrival from Monday to Friday.
ACCOMMODATION
The CRLI provides accommodation for volunteers, according to the available vacancies. A small house, called the “white house” with capacity for two people can be rented for 5 euros per day.
There is also another option, to stay in a rustic wooden house, new and fully equipped. The reservation of the house is made upon payment of 25% of the total price.
FOOD
The purchase of food and the preparation of meals are at the responsibility of the volunteers. The CRLI can provide once a week transportation to buy food. The volunteer should bring food for the day of arrival and if that day is Friday then he als needs to bring food for the weekend.
CLOTHING
You don’t need to bring any clothing in particular, but the volunteer must be aware that he will work outside most of the time. You Should bring warm and waterproof clothing in winter and light clothes in summer, comfortable shoes, suitable for walking and working.
The work of volunteers is extremely important in developing the Center’s activities, while it promotes the ability of volunteers to contact more closely with animals and contribute to the conservation of the Iberian wolf.
